This thing is loud and makes a very aggressive sound, even for a V6! At idle the sound is great, and under load it feels like there's trouble in the engine that you never suspected. When the cats are removed, this silencer helps bring out those cute pops and marbles. However, as detailed on the Flowmaster website, this muffler produces a significant amount of hum, especially when used in a daily vehicle. On the Mercury Villager it was used on, keeping the stock resonator cuts out a lot of that hum. While you don't win races in a minivan, it will eventually draw attention when you're grocery shopping.
