I've had this nail gun for about a year now and absolutely love it. Like you I did a lot of research on different brands and decided that for $200 I should see and try this nailer. It is very similar to the Bostich brand. When it arrived, I first examined everything and at this price I was surprised at how everything screamed for quality. Paint, screws and instructions were in perfect condition. I oiled it and started laying the 3/4" t/g white oak rustic floor. I took L shaped nails and used them for the entire floor which was about 1200 square feet. I had no problems using the nailer and forgot to mention the hammer that came with it was also of the highest quality. My next job was 800 sq.ft. of prefabricated aligned bamboo flooring. There was not a single problem. My next floor was about 1000 sq.ft. of untreated red oak. I've never liked staples for some reason.I've always liked barbed nails because I feel like their design makes them hold up better than staples, but when I went to the local hardware store they only had staples.I bought the Bostich brand and when I came back I loaded them like nails and left. After the third clip of the staples I jammed. This jam required me to disassemble a few screws in the front who removed the shoe portion of the nailer. I got to the issue and noticed that she cut the braces in half. long haul. I've never seen this before. This caused the drive pin to get stuck in the downward striking position and not return. I put everything back in place thinking it was an accident and went back to work, I went again. So nail, nail, nail, etc. and then clamp again. I went through the same procedure 4 times. It was frustrating and I thought the nailer was broken. I was pissed and thought I paid too much. I decided to go to another home center and buy L shaped or T shaped nails. I'm glad I did because once I put them in I got back to work and didn't get stuck afterwards. So the conclusion for me is that this only works on L and T spiked nails and I agree with that, although in the long run they can be more expensive to buy than staples. Despite this randomness, I would buy these again without question. Great price and overall great quality. Updated 4/1/15. Just want to let you know how amazing this nailer is that I've decided to buy another one. This time by Raven. Housing, hammer and fittings are very high quality processed. The new nailer hammered 3,000 square feet with no problem, and the other Freeman nailer hammered about 8,000 square feet. However, I will repeat one thing: it does not clog staples. He cuts her. It's great for L and T nails.
