Review on 💡 Satco S6596 FC552C Soft White Fluorescent Lamp by Summer Hendricks

I bought this bulb to replace the Viva brand 55w T6 double ring light that came with a Hampton Bay (Home Depot brand) ceiling light that I have bought a dozen years ago. The Viva lamp appears to have been discontinued and Home Depot does not have a replacement. However, Satco S6596 is a good lamp replacement. It is slightly larger in diameter than the Viva, both inside and outside, but still fits in the lamp clips. In fact, the fit is slightly better (just snug enough, not too tight) than the original. The base of the stylus is in a slightly different position: it's oriented vertically instead of at an angle, and it's rotated 90 degrees compared to the Viva light. Luckily the power cord was loose enough that there was no problem connecting it to the lightbulb. The lamp is quite bright, even noticeably brighter than the old lamp (or that may simply be because the original lamp has become dimmer over the years). If this lasts another 12 years, I'll be satisfied. The only issue I had was with Revain's delivery service. Incredibly, the first lightbulb I ordered came in a box about five times the size of the lightbulb itself, with no packaging whatsoever. No wonder the bulb arrived broken. I heard broken glass in the delivery box as soon as I picked it up. My wife filmed me opening the undamaged shipping box, no packaging material to be seen, just a broken lightbulb inside. Luckily I didn't need this video because. Revain immediately arranged a return and refund. I ordered again and was pleased to find that the second lamp was properly packaged in bubble wrap, in a sealed padded plastic envelope and in a shipping carton. So my only complaint is that it took me a week to get an intact bulb, not two days as my Prime membership promises.
