later I really wanted a glass pitcher/decanter with a capacity of about 115 oz. Couldn't find it so went with it as it was listed as 100 ounces but it is actually 100 imperial ounces which is 96 not 100 US ounces and is 100 when poured to the brim. As a practical matter, you should leave at least 1/2-3/4 inch from the top of the carafe, which equals 92 US ounces, so it's actually a cup less than I thought. This is a bit cumbersome for my use, but doesn't bother me. The look of the carafe is great. Definitely when it's full, two hands can pour more (support the bottom with one hand). I'll probably buy more of the smaller 60 ounce versions for ice tea.
