SATA Drive to PATA(IDE) Controller Adapter Card - New Life for an Old System

Two of these were used to connect two 500GB SATA hard drives to the PATA/100 controller of an old PowerPC Mac. Both are recognized as 500GB PATA drives. I can boot from them on Mac OS X too. Works well but is slower than a regular PATA hard drive. I haven't done any quantitative speed tests, so I could be wrong. No part of the circuit board protrudes from the top or sides of the drive, even on a low-profile drive, so they should work with most external cases. It comes with a jumper to make it Block 1. Remove the jumper if you want it to be block 0. The circuit board is attached to the back of the drive with a piece of double-sided tape. I don't know if it comes off easily again, so make sure it's securely attached to the correct drive.
