Overall I liked the mop and the longer handle, although it was a little awkward to change the mop head if I needed a quick sweep while mopping. I was planning to give the product 4 or 5 stars as it's a really good mop although it's a bit big and heavy, but I decided to also check the fact that the mop head is closed before checking and with Return window can be washed. open. I washed it on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent with some smaller sofa cushions. As the cycle started I also added a new pair of soft leggings that I bought that had been washed and dried and had a slight chemical smell - I figured a second wash would help. The mop head was tucked under the pillows and I assumed the leggings would rest securely on the pillows as before. This is an upright washing machine and the cushions always keep things from moving around like a regular wash and keep dog hair and lint from "spreading" the little bath rug on top of the garment like I've done in the past . he covered everything with a thick, terrible layer of pile. I was able to rip large chunks off the pillows and the rest was removed from the pillows in the dryer (I air dried the mop head) but this DESTROYED the new lint leggings. Nothing would be removed. I've tried two different types of lint rollers, tape, repeated washing and drying but nothing worked and the leggings went bad without even wearing them. I know this isn't a problem with leggings because they didn't pick up pet hair or lint from other clothing items the first time they were washed and dried. The mop head still crumbles when it dries so I wouldn't wash it again. I'm so disappointed in this product and angry that I felt it was a waste of money (both the leggings and the mop head which clearly won't last long). The mop head appeared to be well made, but apparently it wasn't. I've had other washable mops before and nothing like this happened even when washing with other items. If you buy this product, DO NOT wash the mop head.
