First of all, this is a small chipboard shelf. My husband and I are older and we just moved into a small apartment and our move was brutal, we were exhausted. We decided that buying large pieces was too much for us. The price, it seemed to me, reflected the fact that the product was made of wood. Very disappointed. But after I said it was small enough that we could assemble it without much difficulty. It took a long time to assemble the metal pins for the shelves. Also note that the back panel comes with lots of small black screws. We didn't have a screwdriver so my husband's wrist hurt the next day. Since this shelf is not made of wood I would not recommend it at this price point. We loved the color and style and it filled a need so we'll live with that. Just remember that this is not a big heavy shelf.
