Bought three of these to use on our hardwood floors to keep our elderly dog from slipping in several places. The box was opened when they arrived and they are very very thin, sweatshirt thickness which wasn't really a problem, making them unobtrusive for doors. They are really cute and very soft, but they are extremely slippery when walking on them with socks or even barefoot. We actually had someone who slipped and almost fell while walking alone so unfortunately we had to bring him back. If they weren't so slippery they would definitely have been held back. They are very cute, very soft and easy to handle, they are machine washable. It works better as a throw on a chair back or on a stool as a design object, but definitely not as a rug that you walk on often.
