I collected it, put it in a tank and connected it to the network. This filter is noiseless. It's even quieter than a soft whisper. The water in my aquarium is crystal clear. This is perfect for a 5G tank. I am very happy with this filter. Update: It's been a week since I installed this filter in my aquarium. If I hadn't seen the water go through the filter I would never have known it was on. The water in this tank is more transparent than crystal clear. I can't get enough of how absolutely pure the water is. I didn't realize the water was any less clear than it could be until I started using this filter. Don't let its size fool you. This filter packs a powerful punch for such a small, unobtrusive system.
