Review on High-Quality ECCPP Door Handles for Ford Ranger 1998-2011 - Exterior Outer Front Driver & Passenger Side (2pcs) - Sleek Black Finish by Greg Roberts

Revainrating 1 out of 5

The hinge broke after 6 months of very infrequent use.

Bought for a 2004 Ford Ranger in March 2021 and not used anywhere near normal due to transmission issues. The gearbox was overhauled in September and in less than a week of normal use the pivot broke. If I had to guess, I would estimate the total number of uses to be less than 100 before total failure. The OEM grip is riveted and must be drilled out to replace it. For the reassembly I used hex head screws, washers (on both sides) and teflon nuts (all stainless steel). The hex bolt had the required clearance while the regular bolt protruded a bit. I didn't write down the size or length of the bolt, but I used an 11mm nut if that helps. TRQ makes full metal versions of this grip that I replaced this one with. I couldn't find one on Revain with the same or similar construction and don't think I'm allowed to link to external sites, but I've included a picture of the full metal with the part number.
