Review on Carplay Mirrorlink SD Card Touchscreen Navigator by Jason Ampongan

I was delighted with this radio for my 2013 Jetta Sportwagen TDI. It came quicker than the estimated time, less than a week I believe which was great. But then when I opened it up, it had three pretty noticeable scratches on the front that someone was trying to cover up with some kind of paint. boo I was thinking of returning it but didn't want to go through the nightmare of sending it back to China, waiting for credit and then ordering another one hoping it wasn't damaged either. I figured if it didn't work as expected I'd return it. I've seen many other much cheaper used ones on ebay that weren't scratched, but I've had this one before. So I installed it myself. It was very easy, literally took me 10 minutes max. I didn't have any panel removal tools, just a flathead screwdriver with a t-shirt wrapped around the end. Mine came with an antenna adapter and it was plug and play. So easy. After installation, the scratches didn't look as bad as they did in my kitchen. I connected a reversing camera ASIN: B07GWN2K85 which worked fine with this radio (a camera adapter was also supplied) after having to contact the seller via whatsapp to tell us how to unlock the radio for the image to appear. But the fact that the seller gave his phone number and answered immediately just amazed me. In general I really like the functionality of this radio, it looks great as if it came from the factory. Bluetooth, steering wheel controls, USB, even Siri work great. It has 15 radio presets, pandora, spotify, maps work great. It even reads your messages to you, asks if you want to reply, if you say "yes", you can dictate your text and say "send" and you're done. Wonderful! As others have said, sometimes the USB connection doesn't work to play music, but you just have to unplug it quickly and it works a second time. My factory Jeep radio does the same thing. Also, I think it's worth mentioning, I actually think it kind of improves the sound of my speakers. I also wanted to swap the speakers, but somehow they sound cleaner now. Maybe it's my imagination, but I don't think so. Summer I'm glad I got it, great upgrade for my old car but I really wish it didn't have those scratches.
