I drove a Fix without brakes 6 years ago but stopped after buying the car. However, due to my miserable financial situation, I had to part with the car. Uber emptied my wallet so I decided to buy a $75 solution on Craiglist. It only had a rear brake. As I get older, I become more aware of traffic. Also, with weak leg muscles, I don't want to slip or hold on to weird things. You just need a reliable shuttle service. Considering the price of this brake, it serves its purpose. I've never ridden a $200+ bike so can't compare it to all the other expensive brakes, but they work. I didn't want to spend more money on brakes than on repairs. I'll update if anything happens. The only question I have is that I can't figure out what the black rings are for?
