Not suitable for 16 " bikes!

Several responses to questions about this product indicated that it is suitable for 16" bikes. I have tried them on two different 16" Trek bikes that had the correct mounting points. The calipers didn't extend all the way to the rim making them unusable. I'm sure they will fit 20" wheels easily but if you have a 16" wheel buy them not. They won't fit. Note that the build quality appears solid. They feel solid and fit 20" wheels well.

Terrible cycling quality

This is complete rubbish. I took factory Huffy brakes from a junkyard and put them on another kids bike and they were a million times better than these. So if Huffy's regular crappy handbrakes are pretty bad, you can only imagine the depths of horror these things sink into. The parts have a metallic feel at best, the bolt seemed to snap with the slightest tightening, and the knobs don't even deserve a trash can. Honestly, if that's your only option for hand brakes on your kids bike, stick with…

Quick and easy installation

Excellent value for money. It took 5 minutes to install on my Electra Amsterdam. Other reviews point to pad alignment issues (even before sanding?!) which I would attribute to user error. If one side doesn't run smoothly, you usually have to loosen the center stop screw and adjust the brakes from there. After that, adjust the cable tension as needed. Assuming both bolt holes are centered, the brakes will act evenly. I gave the product 1 star because the arms that come with it have significant…

Inexpensive and works on my 54cm frame Fix

I drove a Fix without brakes 6 years ago but stopped after buying the car. However, due to my miserable financial situation, I had to part with the car. Uber emptied my wallet so I decided to buy a $75 solution on Craiglist. It only had a rear brake. As I get older, I become more aware of traffic. Also, with weak leg muscles, I don't want to slip or hold on to weird things. You just need a reliable shuttle service. Considering the price of this brake, it serves its purpose. I've never ridden a…

Decent brakes for the price

I ordered these Sunlite caliper brakes for my daughter's 16 inch bike. This type of brake I've read that several people comment that the brakes only pull on one side. This is what happens when you don't set them properly. You must use the middle screw/nut to adjust the recoil on both sides. caliper. While they inherently pull harder on the cable side, you should be able to line them up fairly well. Stopping power seems great so far and I expect it will improve as the pads wear down. I love that
