Sides are NOT lockable which makes a lockable front door pretty pointless. However, it is not too difficult to adapt them for locking. For example, only open if you open the door with a key and remove a pin or even a pair of aligned holes for a small lock - but this would be fairly trivial for the manufacturer. Otherwise they could accurately describe the product. Otherwise it seems like a good product that gets the job done.
