The Joy Pad controllers are shipped almost fully charged. I connected them with the included dual charging cable and when I took my dad to reception both controllers were fully charged and ready to go. I pressed the joy pads on the left and right sides of the switch and immediately felt the difference. My hands held him more comfortably than ever. The Joy Pads are thicker than the JoyCons and fit my hands perfectly. They even make the Switch look bigger than usual. This aesthetic makes a pretty positive impression, even if nothing has changed in the dimensions of the console. The controls work perfectly. The vibration function doesn't feel as "natural" as the JoyCon, but the haptic feedback on the third-party secondary controller is still impressive and I'm happy with it. The keys react as expected without any delay. I like the color scheme of the controller. The pink buttons and sakura colored rods perfectly match the cream color of the case. So far I've only used joy pads that connect directly to the console. I'll try them out over the air soon and update if I find any issues (which I don't expect).
