Review on 💧 Topvico Water Leak Sensor Detector Flood Alarm for Basement - Battery Operated, 120dB Volume - Set of 3 Pack by Carlos Reyes

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Loud and easy to install

Having lived in apartments in New York City for most of my life, I have found water leak detectors to be invaluable. I have never used wireless home systems or systems with smartphone apps. But for the money, these are the best budget devices I've found. Most importantly, the flat sensor can be securely attached to the floor with the included tape, so water touching it will quickly set off a (loud) alarm. Many other detectors have two-point sensors that must be reached by water before they will work. The problem is positioning the sensor down so the dots touch and stay at ground level (they are very light and can move or roll a bit, delaying the alarm). In addition, this device has a switch on the side of the alarm, so an accidental alarm, such as B. a few drops of water accidentally thrown under the sink, can be switched off quickly until the sensor has dried. Disadvantages (1) there are no mounting holes or other ways to attach the back of the alarm box to the wall, so it must be taped or placed somewhere horizontally, and (2) there may not be a low battery alarm - see NOTE below this rating. NOTE: I change all of my 9 volt alarm batteries (smoke, carbon monoxide, etc.) once a year, although many of them last much longer. like you have a leak. I don't know who is right, there are no instructions for the block.
