I have two Cap Lights, one on a baseball hat and another I cut the clips off and permanently mounted it on a winter hat. The Cap Light uses AAA batteries which makes it heavier than other lights using lithium batteries, but illuminates enough to work or whatever without additional lighting. I have used the light enough to have worn out the tab which keeps the batteries in place, which is easily fixed with a small piece of electrical tape. This is an injection molded part and therefore the cross section of the clips is limited, they are strong enough to hold the light in place, but any sideways motion when positioning onto the hat should be avoided. I am pleased with the lighting capabilities this product has and would buy it again.
