Review on Solder Wire Sn63 Pb37 with Rosin Core for Electrical Soldering 50g (0.8mm) by TAMINGTON: High-Quality Soldering Wire with Rosin Core by Eddie Simpkins

So relatively new to soldering as I've recently gotten into the radio hobby and really needed to learn how to solder. I own a few cars now and they require quite a bit of soldering if you really get into it, so I learned how to solder pretty quickly, going from a cheap $10 flat iron to a Weller variable power flat iron and short then to Hakko Fx-888d, which I'm happy with. But I started with this solder not realizing how important the quality of the solder is because I recently bought cheap solder from China and the performance was terrible in comparison. I thought if the cheap stuff is way worse then maybe the high quality Kester stuff would be way better? No, I've tried Kester and liked it, but it's actually not much better than this material, so the quality of this solder is as good as my layman's opinion of Kester. You can see the quality in the photo and the end product looks just like Kester and both look a million times better than the Chinese stuff. You can see the Chinese stuff didn't work either because when I tried to put a solder ball on the coin it started to harden so I actually had to put a solder ball on the tip of the iron and shake it out. to pennies instead of applying it directly to pennies, which was easy with better plumb bobs. The cheap Chinese stuff wouldn't go into the 12 gauge wire at all, just build it up over it, rather than penetrating the wire even 100° hotter than me with that good solder and lots of flux. Chinese material also looks cloudy after solidification, which is a sign of poor solder quality. This material, on the other hand, flows excellently and when cured has a beautiful shiny polished appearance. All in all everything is great and seems as good as the high quality stuff.
