Initially they were good for mounting cameras. They don't adjust particularly smoothly, so it takes a little effort to aim and lock them properly, but not too bad. The real problem is that they rust so quickly. I took my Arlo Pros off to charge their batteries for the first time and the threads on the camera mounts were already badly rusted. This of course led to rusting on the threads of the cameras themselves. I'll order a better option than trying to clean the threads on the camera before remounting. I don't think it's worth the hassle - buy something better. I installed them in March and in June they were very rusty (as you can see in the photo).
