Only after thoroughly burning my hair with bleach did I find that this oil was actually beneficial. One drop of the natural, oily varieties would convert newly washed hair into a greasy tangle. As a result, it sat unused for quite some time before I finally gave in and used it once it turned red. The danger of abuse was high, but the use itself became feasible. When it had already lightened considerably, the oil was useful; I began applying it after every wash. Comb-through was less of a hassle, and the hair was silkier. Hair was too fluffy and electric for use as a mask before washing. The mask was equally tough to remove with water as regular vegetable oils. For this reason, I think it's preferable to use them, as they are silicone-free. It's not a horrible oil, and I used the whole bottle over the course of a year. Nonetheless, I won't be making another purchase because it falls short of expectations.
