This mocha pot is the same brand as any Italian supermarket. Reliable quality and excellent coffee taste are guaranteed. A 3 cup size is enough for a very strong shot or about 4 cups of espresso or latte. My tip for a perfect infusion: - Use a mocha grind, not an espresso grind. For a typically Italian flavor, I recommend the medium roast from the illy brand. - Pour heaps of ground coffee into the filter until it rises slightly, then tap very gently to even out the edges. - Use reverse osmosis water, filtered or distilled water, poured so that it just touches the bottom of the emergency valve. - Before tightening, ensure that the filter and threads are free of abrasion. - Use moderate heat (don't let the flame rise up the sides of the tank, this will overheat the grist and make it bitter.) Percolation should start in about 4-5 minutes. If steam escapes between the two halves, tighten the threads. - Switch off the heating when the coffee no longer flows evenly and more steam than liquid comes out. - When pouring into multiple cups, stir the coffee in the pot first. - If you use hard tap water, it will cause corrosion inside the tank. It's ok but looks rough so dry it if you want to avoid it.
