Didn't work with Intel X710-DA2 when connected to a 1Gbps switch. It happens there, but the bandwidth is very asymmetric, with a full gigabyte available in one direction, something ridiculously low, like a few megabits, in the other. But it works well in Mikrotik Switch. Runs a little hot. Both the Intel NIC and Mikrotik see it as a 10Gb/s transceiver no matter what speed it ends up running at, which can be confusing for some. It is also defined as fiber, not copper. Something to be aware of. As far as I can tell this is normal, at least for these cheap transceivers.
