I originally bought this unit as a replacement for another brand's unit based solely on the fact that it was the first decently rated unit I found that had NO backlight. But it's a nice little block. It's very quiet (less noisy than my laptop, I had to test it out a couple of times to see if it works) and I like the fact that it raises the screen to make on-screen viewing more ergonomic. I was concerned that raising the screen and therefore the keyboard would make typing more difficult, but on the bottom two settings it doesn't affect me. Adjusting the height is so easy that if I'm going to be watching a movie or a series of videos, I'll raise it all the way up, and if I'm going to be typing a lot, I'll lower it so the keyboard is almost parallel to the table. All in all - a good device and I will definitely buy it again.
