Helps with carrying laundry up the steps

These really help! I live in an old 1800s house converted into an apartment building and the steps are steep but don't have a lot of room lengthwise (my average-size feet hang off the edge of each step.) The laundry area is on a different floor from my bedroom and I was putting off laundry because I worried about losing my balance and not having a free hand to grab the rail. These allow me to carry the baskets with the straps on my shoulder and hand on the rail. I feel much safer.

The straps tend to slip and loosen over time, reducing their effectiveness
