I bought this sliding gate for my sister in law whose child just turned one year old. My nephew is a very active boy, now he is learning to walk and can crawl around very quickly. This retractable baby gate works really great for locking them in a safe place. The baby gate is easy to install and can be removed to the side if we don't need to block the child in one place. It doesn't take up much space, organized and tidy. It is also very practical compared to other traditional children's gates that always block the corridor or entrance, so we have to open the gate every time we pass. It can also be operated with one hand, which is a big plus. To be honest the material of the gate is not wood, hard plastic or metal. So I'm a little worried as the child gets older they will easily destroy the gate so my sister in law and I both find this gate amazing for his current age. Highly recommended!
