I love this product. I'm on my third and each jar lasts about 3-6 months of daily use. My hair is fairly short but not trimmed (usually trimmed with a 6mm trimmer head). NOTE: When applied to damp hair, they will not matte but instead leave a shine (you can use less product for the same hold though). ). Apply dry and the matte finish won't be as shiny as you'd like, although this hold will require more wax because it won't spread as evenly. There is no unpleasant smell, although it smells like "hair product". Keep the lid on the jar, otherwise it will dry out and application will be much more difficult, but if you work with your hands first, clumps or dried bits will usually break up. My biggest concern is that if you sleep with it on it will flake off the next day. On long journeys I sometimes feel like I have dandruff, but not often and not regularly. However, this is the best product I have ever tried.
