So we have two cats that don't like the concept of an open pet bed and rarely, if ever, lie down in one of the 'dens' -Route. We've had a lot of success with another brand and I got a chance to try this one so I jumped at it. My first impression was that she seemed pretty thin. Of course, a pet bed should be soft, but this one wasn't of good quality. The outside of the case is definitely soft, I can say it's nice to lie on, but the pillow it comes with feels like it's half full compared to what it should be. The cushion is detached from the main shell and can be pulled out for "easy cleaning", but it moves a lot and the material it's made of is quite noisy. We've had it for about two weeks and only one of our cats has used it, and even then I think it's because our other cat used a 'good' bed. This can be hit and miss depending on the pet. I don't think dogs will be that fussy, but I wouldn't recommend this bed for cats.
