There's a special place in hell for these wipers

I somehow managed to use the original wipers on my 2014 Chevy Silverado for 3.5 years before they blew right in front of my eyes (not surprising after 2 years in Southeast Texas and 1.5 in Central Florida). After much research I decided on this as a replacement. God I'm sorry I did that. While they protect my windshield well from many a torrential downpour in Florida summers, they make the dreaded, loudest clunk every time the driver's side wiper stops on that side of the windshield. It's beyond annoying. In fact, the noise is so loud that I've sometimes thought about staying home because it's raining, or even stopping until the rain stops just so I don't have to use the goddamn wipers. It is worth noting that I endure Job's patience with most difficulties in life, understanding that these are only inconveniences, fleeting and temporary. When I complain about something like a windshield wiper, you know, it's terrible. If you suffer from OCD or are usually impatient or easily irritable, these wipers must be a difficult task as they will quickly turn the most agreeable person into an angry, murderous maniac. Last year I replaced the windshield wipers on my husband's 2014 Chevy Camaro with the Rain X brand and am very happy with them. I only turned them down for my truck because the ratings weren't as high as for a car, so I figured it might have something to do with the design differences of each windshield. I just can't stand that clinking noise until the wipers wear out, so when the straw finally breaks the camel's back (which is SOON), I'll give the Rain X wipers a try. The only other contender was a brand That While very expensive, each wiper was priced somewhere north of $50. I wouldn't want to pay that much money for something that can be easily stolen. Do yourself and the world a favor and make your next choice of wipers. While Michelin is still my first tire choice, it is definitely my LAST wiper option.
