These tarp clips are a great idea. It would be even better if they actually worked. As mentioned before, they don't hold anything for sure. They'll slip off whatever they're designed for with a simple pull, no matter how hard you try to tighten them. The worst thing is that they always break when you put them on. The only useful thing about it is the elastic cords and the pocket that has everything with it. Another example of cheap Chinese junk. Don't waste your money on it. **UPDATE** I found a MUCH better tarp clip at my local Lowe's. I've attached photos showing both clips, Lowe's is on top. You can see in the first photo that these jaws do not fully close and the gripping teeth are misaligned. But with Lowe, the teeth are perfectly aligned and close completely. This allows him to bite into the tarpaulin and hold it securely. The second photo just shows the difference in how open they are. The wider opening makes it easier to attach the clip instead of trying to fit it into a smaller one.
