Bought a set of elastic cords for my premium car cover. The kit included ratchet clips that always cracked with any wind, stronger than a light breeze because the cover was made of thin, high-tech material. These tarp screw clamps work much better with thin tarps and covers and stay in place even in high winds. Fully tighten - note that you can overtighten and they will open again. I have not used bungee ties before so I am not including them in this review.

No eyelets where you need them? These heavy duty clips hold the tarp securely in place by adding grommets for attachment points. They're also great for attaching multiple layers of tarp, wrapping and securing custom shapes, or even attaching a tarp to a picnic table (to use as a tablecloth)! Add in ball bungees, some paracord or small carabiners and you have the perfect way to secure your stash. I bought these for our emergency bug kits and I used 4 of these to build a 'tent' for our 7 year old daughter indoors just to have some fun on a cold rainy day, I used a bungee. Loop cord to tie it through the bungee holes to attach it to the areas I choose to hold it. Very strong and I would recommend them to anyone who needs something in this type of product. If you try tying a tarp in the wind, you'll find something else. It would be amazing if the quality wasn't complete rubbish. If you try to tighten them at all, the screw lock just slips off and they pop open. Imagine a screw on a lid that snaps if you overtighten it, except it takes very little effort to overtighten. I am using this product on a pergola cover. I was hoping to maintain tension upstairs to help with rainwater accumulation. Three out of 10 knurled clamps break when you try to tighten them. These tarp clips are a great idea. It would be even better if they actually worked. As mentioned before, they don't hold anything for sure. They'll slip off whatever they're designed for with a simple pull, no matter how hard you try to tighten them. The worst thing is that they always break when you put them on.
