These oven inserts are great EXCEPT for gas ovens! If you level the lower basket and use the upper basket, no problem. However, after using it on the bottom of my gas oven last night, our carbon monoxide warning from our detector is about 2 hours after I've finished cooking. After firefighters arrived around 10:30 p.m., they finally determined that the problem was in the gas. The National Grid was supposed to come and they found that the problem was caused by vents blocked by the liner. The guy said it happens all the time. There is nothing about it on the packaging. Mine was just wrapped in plastic and even the product description (above) says it's for gas ovens. YOU ARE NOT! Please be careful. I don't want to believe that if our detector fails, my entire family could be killed. Also make sure (I ordered 3 last night) that you put a carbon monoxide detector on every floor of the house. We only had one in the basement next to the stove. If we had had it on the first floor it would have been discovered much sooner.
