This pad is thick enough, strong enough and weather resistant enough to get the job done effectively. If the material is too big, it can be easily trimmed. The material adheres quite well to the roof surface, but does not scratch or wear away the paintwork. The only marks it leaves are water and dirt from use, but these are fairly easy to remove. My guess is that with sufficient use and/or long standing it can leave a heavier mark, but it's unlikely to be something that can't be buffed out quickly. move a lot when travelling. I'm initially quite happy with the quality and performance and will update this review if I have any issues with the pad over time. For now it's a simple 5 stars to get the job done for a low price.
