Very disappointed with the installation instructions from a major American company. The instructions look like they are from a Chinese product. The measurement chart is so confusing that it gives two shank diameters and no depth measurement. How do you measure the distance between the gears with the starter installed and no visible access? The flex clock wasn't lined up evenly, although I stressed the importance of parallel alignment, my starter didn't use blue Loctite, the screws were loose. The new starter bracket is much thicker than the factory one, so the screw is 1/4" shorter. If you rotate the bracket just a few degrees, the mounting screw will not fit in the starter mounting hole. For a nearly $200 starter should it come with a factory made short sweater.Yes the starter works fine for my purpose,it solves the hot start problem I was having. If you decide to buy this initially I suggest you open the play-doh of the gear to measure the distance. Check the flex-clocknm screws for blue loctite. I will remove the starter later to check the drive gear wear again and see if I need to fit a shim. (see my simple diagram)
