This product is well supported on Windows (XP-10) and is plug and play. On Linux, you have to jump through a few hoops. Experienced Linux users are familiar with the process of getting drivers, but new users will find it a daunting task. Suffice it to say that if you are new to Linux, you must have a wired internet connection. This is the easiest way to get drivers for your wireless device. The chipset seems to depend on when it was made and that information is needed. I had to dig around to find out what I had as it wasn't provided. One of those Linux tires. Overall, the product is well made and sends/receives from a Wi-Fi device on Windows and Linux at the desired speeds.
