    Plugged in, set up and had a solid 5GHz signal. No fuss, no fuss. I didn't need tech support so I only rated them a three. Hope it lasts! UPDATE - 5/8/19 - It just doesn't work anymore. I started hearing my laptop "ringing" that the USB device was plugged in, unplugged, plugged in, unplugged ad nauseam. I checked my Wi-Fi status and found that my Wi-Fi is not working.     Drivers are not available. Intermittent connection.

    This adapter is terrible. It's like an intermittent connection that randomly drops. It advertises 300Mbps on the 2.4GHz band, but I've never had it go above 50Mbps on either band and often dropped below 10Mbps before I had to unplug and reset it. My other devices on the network in the same room as the adapter don't cause any problems, but my computer with this adapter just drops the connection, and when the connection is established, the speed is so slow that it can hardly be used.     Windows is great, Linux has problems.

    This product is well supported on Windows (XP-10) and is plug and play. On Linux, you have to jump through a few hoops. Experienced Linux users are familiar with the process of getting drivers, but new users will find it a daunting task. Suffice it to say that if you are new to Linux, you must have a wired internet connection. This is the easiest way to get drivers for your wireless device.     Internet 5G did not work before the 2nd installation

    Connected, the computer recognized it and installed the device. I then searched the available networks, found my 5G network and connected. The device connected but told me it couldn't find an internet connection. He found internet on 2.4G band. I found this odd as all my Alexa devices found the internet on the 5G band network as well as two other computers.     When it works, it works well.

    I've had it for about 6 months now. I have to say I have mixed feelings about it. When it works, it works very well, the wifi speed is much faster than my old one. However, it keeps crashing after a while. It usually crashes when the computer is asleep. There is a lot of information on the internet about this problem with USB wireless adapters.
