A++ but HIRE A TRAINER

This is such a cool tool, we use it on our young stubborn Doberman and he is a gentleman at it. HOWEVER, it's not easy to use if you don't know what you're doing. You really need someone to interact with you and your dog because no dog reacts the same way so youtube videos are useless - I had a trainer teach me how to use this. Otherwise I would not recommend buying it as you risk injuring your dog. Word to the wise: less is more with this thing, and also hide the remote from your husband because he probably can't be trusted. (I have confirmed that I am not the only one with this problem). It's not a "shock" collar, it's more of a vibration or static sensation. It's uncomfortable but definitely not painful. It's also waterproof, we used it a lot at the dog beach. Ecollar was our last resort after trying different types of serrated and other collars and was successful in teaching memorization and "silence". Currently training off a leash and so far so good.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
