Really effective. I've been using for years.
Still love our Brita water filter jug. In the SF Bay Area we have some of the clearest water in the country, but very old pipes! Day and night. Flavor after filtration. Previously, the filters lasted two months. Now the manufacturer says a month. Stick to one month. I would like Brita to switch to a plastic case with inserts that can be deployed (they seem to have that in the UK). This prevents large amounts of plastic from ending up in landfill. A good note. Whole Foods has bins for recycling used filters.
