I replaced an old set of icicles in my house. They were old style and it took 6 strings to span the width of my house. This is a definite step up as they are LED and have 8 patterns to choose from. They also came with two strings of lights that spanned the width of my house at 62 feet. They use a lot less power as they are LED, are bright and the controller has a built in timer that when activated has 6 hours. am/6pm. out. I liked that during the holidays you could choose different modes just to change the look. The only reason I gave the controller 4 stars is because these lights didn't come with instructions on how to enable/disable the timer mode and it wasn't necessarily intuitive. Once I figure it out, everything is fine. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to save money on their energy bills and want the long lifespan of LED bulbs compared to incandescent bulbs.
