This is only for cutting drywall and maybe a few cuts in wood. This is NOT for metal of any kind but for cutting the perfect hole for the LED lighting I bought it worked great. You also need a side grip drill to stabilize it properly or it wobbles badly, but with the larger drill I had no problem drilling six holes in my ceiling in about 45 minutes. It's heavy and not flimsy. However, there is no hex key to tighten the set screw. But he did the job I needed to do right. And that is what it is about.
