We originally bought the first collar to try on one of our three Beagles - we loved it! We didn't want to shock our dogs, but the sound or sound/vibrate or sound/vibrate/citronella options are great. To be honest we mostly only use Tone when they aren't barking at other dogs right next to our moving fence behind our house. If the sound doesn't break the bark, the sound/vibration usually will. We only used the Citronella button once. The training tone is amazing. Reminds me of Pavlov's dog. Anyway we bought a second collar - same result, we like it. However, our third beagle needed his own collar. We posted the question, "We have three dogs. Can we use three different collars?" and got many different answers (thanks!). We decided to buy a third collar and do a self-test to know for sure. It works. We have (3) remotes with it (3) Dogs While we could probably get more creative with running a controller in switch position 1/2, we chose to keep (3) controllers in our kitchen and label them with each dog's name If the appropriate dogs barking, are we using the right controllers. We chose this brand because it is very high quality. We only charge the battery of the remote control and collar once a week. For us, the battery life is good. The collar can be trimmed and with be sealed with a lighter to keep the fabric from fraying In fact, we're going to switch to three different colors by using fabric and connectors from the hardware store k up. This also speeds up putting on and taking off collars in the mornings and evenings. We adopted our youngest beagle from a shelter and rescued two more from a dog factory as the brothers were one of the 'fathers' of this closed mill. We do our best to train our Beagles and we need human help in our endeavors. The audio on their collars works really well and we recommend this collar. Also, we're glad it's working for all three now!
