Seems to fit stabilizer/hook too thick

I bought this stabilizer to organize my machine embroidery stabilizer and it looks like it will work. The compartments are suitable for large buns (but probably not for huge buns). My largest current roll is 12 inches by 150 feet and I've hardly used it. It fits, but not much more is possible. As for the longer narrow tubes in the clamshell package, I put them between the divider and the outside of the hanger, but this way I only get one tube per row. At the moment it's not a big problem as there are a lot of subjects. This hanger has only a few disadvantages. It's quite expensive for what it is, especially since I had to hunt around and buy different hooks to use it because the ones that come with are too thick to fit between my door and the door frame. Just by careful and thorough testing with those on it, my door was badly scratched and it wouldn't close in any way. I was able to find a few other hooks that worked, but that added another $12 to my cost. Also, and this is a pretty big drawback no matter what you use it for, the holes the hooks go through aren't reinforced. The outer holes are just holes in the plastic. It certainly won't last long, so it's probably for the best that I had to set it up so they don't get used to it. I'm going to apply some fabric glue around the holes on the fabric side to try to give them extra strength. They come with a basic boost which I don't think will help much. Hopefully the fabric glue will help strengthen it. Definitely at least one star deduction for this lack of design and hooks that are too thick. I also want the dividers in the middle of each row to be removable. This would be useful for storing boots as well as a stabilizer. Overall I'll try this as it frees up shelf space in my study and keeps my stabilizers dust free.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • No shape needed
