This is perfect for our downsizing to a tiny retirement home. He is light. The inserts are made of transparent plastic, so we can quickly find the right shoes. It's huge (check out our review in the video clip below) with 26 slots, but it's on the back of the door so it doesn't steal our valuable floor space. Each slot holds a pair of smaller shoes (ballet flats, flip flops, sneakers) or larger shoes (walkers, chunky shoes, heels). Notice in the video how many big and heavy shoes we stock andโ€ฆ

Won't buy again and won't recommend - Weak, breaks easily

As other reviewers have noted: 1. Hooks are VERY weak. They flex very easily so when you load the shoes they flex and everything falls off. Which leads to 2.2. There has to be something connecting the shoe rack to the hooks. This makes installation difficult. This also causes the fabric part (with shoes) to fall off completely when the hooks are bent.3. The fabric ripped at the hook holes. Probably because the hooks have nothing to "hook" other than the fabric as it falls.4. Nothing for bigโ€ฆ

Great concept, cheap design that can only be used after a BIG mod!

It worked for me with A LOT of sophistication. Thank God my husband is a handyman! I replaced a very similar product that lasted me for years. But when he finally died, I realized they don't make that design anymore. Although it fits most shoes, they don't fall out every time you open the door like other designs do. The car itself looks solid enough and very similar to my old one. Problem with brackets. First, they're so wide that unless your door is very thick (most closet doors aren't), theโ€ฆ

Seems to fit stabilizer/hook too thick

I bought this stabilizer to organize my machine embroidery stabilizer and it looks like it will work. The compartments are suitable for large buns (but probably not for huge buns). My largest current roll is 12 inches by 150 feet and I've hardly used it. It fits, but not much more is possible. As for the longer narrow tubes in the clamshell package, I put them between the divider and the outside of the hanger, but this way I only get one tube per row. At the moment it's not a big problem asโ€ฆ

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • No shape needed

No complaints about the shoe compartment. Well made enough as long as it isn't handled and should last a few years but the part that hangs over the door and its design requires a lot of work. It consists of three separate metal brackets that you theoretically hang on the door individually, then put the long end through three separate eyelets at the top of the shoe bag with compartments, done. Except. That doesn't work at all. You MUST have two people working together to try to line up the clips

Pros
  • Still satisfied
Cons
  • Useless features
