If your bird likes to gnaw, I do not recommend buying it. If your bird is digesting cotton, it can cause several problems that can lead to death. If you buy this you can either wrap the exposed parts with veterinary tape which is a natural rope like seaweed. The product itself is ok but not worth the price; I bought this primarily for bass as my parrot likes certain ones. There are several pieces of shrapnel in the bridge, and one of the perches was also missing a washer. Honestly, I recommend looking for something else that is safer for your birds.
