Review on Enhance Your Viewing Experience with Roku Streaming Stick+ - HD/4K/HDR Streaming Device with Long-range Wireless & Roku Voice Remote by Richard Simmons

***Just a note before reading the many reviews! I research everything thoroughly before I buy it, and one HUGE inconsistency I noticed when reading the top Roku device reviews is that they mostly date from 2017-2018 and sometimes even earlier. Please note that THIS Roku is a 2019 release date and THIS is the device you will receive and the device I purchased and tested :). I'm sure what others have written is valid for their particular Roku depending on the release date, but rest assured that a 2017 or 2018 review CANNOT cover a 2019 released product! I hope this proves helpful to anyone considering streaming (don't judge the latest model by reviewing an old model)! A little background: I have both Rokus (now 5 😂 - mostly different generations but my last two are One and Ultra) and Revain Fire Sticks (2 - different generations) and although I like them all because I could cut them our cable about 6 years ago thanks to them i would say i enjoy it a lot and the ultra is the best. The technology has the latest release dates and streams absolutely flawless! I decided to buy this particular Roku for my dad because his bedroom is on the top floor of our house and our modem is plugged in in our basement which is a concrete box with an internet dead zone (the modem needs to be plugged in down there , otherwise unfortunately the internet doesn't cover the whole house, but we're about to get boosters from Xfinity). We now have Xfinity Internet at 300MB (aka Lag Gaming Speed - previously 250MB) and our router/modem is in our basement for optimal connectivity and a WiFi range extender, but our house still has Connection problems with most devices. Not only is this Roku 4K 4K, it should be exceptional for connectivity, which was a big factor in choosing this device. As soon as I plugged this Roku in, it was love from the first home screen, as I experienced with the Ultra I bought a few weeks earlier. It recognized all my accounts, downloaded everything quickly, was extremely easy to use and the streaming quality is AMAZING. My dad was all too familiar with loading screens on various streaming devices, and we're happy to say goodbye to them forever thanks to the long-range wireless receiver in this bad boy. The picture quality is always excellent, whether streaming HD, HDR or 4K videos. This particular Roku joystick is also so convenient to use that my 70 year old dad (who usually avoids computers and technology like the plague) can even use it! I also think this is the best Roku in its price range. The Ultra is great, but in my opinion most users don't need it, although it's also very impressive. We are very happy with this Roku device and would definitely recommend it. *** I took photos of his new Roku (this is the Roku Streaming Stick+) and his old Roku 3 model side by side. The volume controls are the same on the new remote except for the mute button. The Roku 3 remote is also glossy and has different channel buttons than the Roku Stick+ remote, which is matte black and has newer streaming channels. The new remote also has an on/off button, which is what most Roku features are, and allows you to easily connect to your TV (it literally connects automatically for you) and also gives you the option to use the Roku remote to use on your TV. One last note: the picture quality is fine even on my dad's old LG flat screen TV, but my phone only takes mediocre pictures, so that doesn't bother me 😂.
