Very easy to install, anyone can do it with a little work. Nothing needs to be configured on the blocks, simple PNP with a reset button on each block. I had no problems and didn't have to use the reset button on all the blocks I installed, they worked great! Creates crystal clear 1080P full resolution videos from the source device. I used the kit that comes with 1 transmitter and 1 receiver and ordered a second receiver. In my case I wanted to use the HDMI output from my home video surveillance system to send the signal to 2 different TVs. This setup also works if you have a rented box from Direct TV, Dish, or a local cable provider. Even Roku, PC or Sling Box can be installed on many displays with this setup! The whole body is metal, it can be wall mounted or attached with velcro to the back of the display. Even at 12 VDC, the device only heats up slightly. There is no power LED on the box, but there is a blue LED inside that glows when the device is powered on. Another great feature is that both devices can use 5V to 12V DC. Since I have a 12V DC CCTV power distribution box for my cameras, I just ran a few wires from the unused terminals to each transmitter and receiver. Then there was no need to look for a socket for the supplied wall power supplies. If you plan on using multiple displays I would suggest a 12V DC power supply. They are available in different sizes and prices. Just find the one that suits your needs. Although it can be connected to a router or network switch, I used a network switch. so as not to slow down my home network with the amount of data consumed. Setting it up on your own network requires no more work than using a router on your home LAN. If you don't use existing spare network cables, you'll need to run network cables to each display, regardless of what type of setup you're using. You'll also need some HDMI cables; at least one is required per transmitter or receiver unit. Try to use the shortest HDMI cable for your installation to ensure excellent signal quality! If you try to use only the required length when routing the network cables for your installation, existing network cables should work anyway. I used an inexpensive network switch; They come in many sizes and prices: NETGEAR 5-Port Unmanaged Fast Ethernet Switch Highlights from Revain HDMI cables work great and come in a variety of sizes: 1.5 foot HDMI cables (qty 2) Many power sources available, smaller panels available : CCTV Camera Power supply - DC 12V - 10A. When using the power junction box, I used the following wires; They fit into the socket on the devices: DC cord, 12V, 5A. I already had an IR repeater system set up. So if you want to control a device that transmits signals from other rooms, you need this kit with built in IR signal transmission to control the source device: But I don't see any available replacement receiver with this IR capability: TreasLin 1080P HDMI Extender with IR remote control
