First test was perfect
I'm about to drill some holes in the garage walls for mounting and need a reliable way to find studs. I tested this spike finder and was very happy with the results. I found a ledge and marked it, and then I found an adjacent ledge and marked it. The two marks were exactly 16 inches apart, so that was an encouraging sign. Apparently it signaled right in the middle of the post. under drywall. Based on my first test, I expect this nail finder will help me do my job more smoothly. There is a V-shaped notch on the top of the device for accurate marking. This feature is probably pretty standard, but it's very useful.
