I've been using the V1TN for a few months now. The bottom line is that it's simple and it works. I originally used it on carpet stairs to remove cat and dog hair. I have previously used a Dyson product purchased for the same purpose at a significantly higher price. The V1TN is easier to use, almost never clogs, is easier to clean and cleans carpet just as well in less time. The Dyson version is better built; It's made of heavier plastic and is held together with screws. Although the V1TN showed no signs of breaking, I could buy about 10 V1TNs for a Dyson if I had to. I now use the V1TN everywhere my animals go, including almost all fabrics in my home including chairs and sofas. I also use it on striped carpets. The angle of the head makes it difficult to use on floor mats, but still works well. The V1TN comes with a comb - I have no idea why. I haven't found a practical use for it, and the instructions don't give it. Its outstanding performance began when I removed the comb.
