I bought this to replace the previous SPIbelt we bought for my 3 year old son with diabetes who needs to wear an iPhone to keep up with his medical device to work. The first strap we bought was perfect except it had a small hole for the tubing that connected to the insulin pump; This hole got bigger over time and became a problem so we bought this to replace. This strap doesn't have a tube hole, which is great as we don't need one. This belt is made of high quality fabric. I haven't tested it but it looks like it repels water. The only downside to this strap is that on the smallest size, the clasp ends at the back, right where someone would lean back while seated. The clasp bothers me so much - even through clothing - that he sometimes takes off the belt and leaves it lying around. It defeats the whole purpose of owning this amazing belt! I wish it had a front closure like the original SPIbelt it had.
