I love the colour, thickness and texture of the carpet (mainly under my bed in my bedroom now) but the shedding is crazy. I started using carpets in my new apartment and spent at least 30 minutes vacuuming them every week for almost three months. You should vacuum the top of the carpet to get rid of the fibers that fly around the house when you walk. You should vacuum under the carpet to pick up dirt that has fallen on the floor (which you should do after sweeping the floor as there is a large amount of dirt there). Then you need to vacuum the underside of the carpet to keep dirt from getting everywhere). Since August (when I first installed this rug) this weekend for the first time I noticed less dirt coming out of the rug. If it lost even a quarter less I would buy it again, but for now I would buy a non-jute rug (despite the fact that I like the look of it).
