Hard to say. It's significantly louder. This gives the Ridgeline the sonic performance it needs. NOTE: You will hear it more from the driver's side and less from outside or elsewhere. Have I noticed an increase in performance? May be. But I tried to notice. I think I'll have to make a Pepsi call just to be sure. Did it help with walking? Somehow not really. Yes, if I drive normally I can stretch a gallon a little. A little. But the thing is, it has balls now and it seems to wobble when I accelerate hard. Has my driving behavior changed as a result? Absolutely and I doubt it will help my mileage. PS The installation was a bit tricky with aligning and connecting the sensors. But once it's pretty good. You can also remove the filter for cleaning without major disassembly.
